German

Studying German as a first or second language enables students to understand the world on a linguistic level, mature in their personality and communicate with others. Language is explored as a basic human ability, a medium to reflect and experience art, a communicative exchange and a powerful tool of persuasion and influence.

Students who do not have German as their first language are offered special courses in German as a second language (Deutsch als Zweitsprache). According to their biography IB (International Baccalaureate) students either choose German A Higher Level Literature or German B Higher Level. Students with German as their first language are being taught in German A, students with German as their second language are being taught in German B.

You will find more information about the subject on the German pages.
