Welcome to the cafeteria of the high school on Münsterplatz. The cafeteria has been managed by Parterre Basel since 2016 and with its bright rooms and two beautiful courtyards - one of which has a garden area - is a really nice place to be and to meet.

Our Philosophy

Daily fresh, daily healthy and daily different - these are the three catering principles in the collaboration between Parterre Basel and Gymnasium am Münsterplatz. Our varied and age appropriate cafeteria menus always include at least one vegetarian option, they are always tailored by our experienced kitchen team with seasonal products. Local producers and dealers keep the transport routes short, the production adapts to the specific needs of the location´s customers, thus avoiding unnecessary waste and excess production. By adhering to the cantonal guidelines of "healthy food" we guarantee all customers a balanced, nutritious and tasty meal.

Commitment to sustainability

To act in a sustainable way in a long term and to reduce plastic consumption is very important to us, that`s why we always prefer ecological alternatives.

Cashless payment in the mensa

Cashless payment is possible via the multifunctional student card. The infrastructure for this service is provided by the GM and managed by the cafeteria Operator Parterre Basel in cooperation with Memoria Technology GmbH. There are two ways top up their account with a credit on the student ID card, which also cointains a printing and copying account. Parents and students can conveniently load Money into the customer account via the web portal. The procedure can be found in the instructions below. In the web portal it is also possible to check the credit balance at any time. As an alternative to the web portal, the Card can be loaded with cash at the counter of the cafeteria. For logistical reasons, this is not possible at lunchtime. If the ID card is lost, the account can be blocked at the counter of the GM mensa.
