Our first full day in NYC took us to “Ground Zero” and the 9/11 memorial museum, which was extremely impressive to see. In the afternoon we walked over Brooklyn Bridge and took the ferry back to Manhattan. (Laura, Anastasia)

On Monday morning, we visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was very impressive to see in person and to learn about Ellis Island. In the afternoon, we had a walking tour of SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown. (Cilia, Lia)

On 23^rd September we visited the Museum of Illusions and pretended to sit on a bench in the NYC subway - we had to hold on tight! (Isabella, Edoardo)

In the morning, we had a guided tour in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). In the evening, we watched the musical The Great Gatsby in the Broadway Theatre, which was very entertaining. (Amber, Milena)

On Thursday morning, we went to Harlem to visit the Harlem Jazz Museum. Then, after lunch, we did a walking tour in Central Park. In the evening, we climbed up the Empire State building and enjoyed the breathtaking view of New York City’s night skyline. (Laura S., Pirithika)

We all packed our luggage in the morning for the flight later. Leaving our suitcases in the hostel, we went on a guided tour of Greenwich Village. The picture of the building shows the location of the TV series Friends. Due to the flight time and time zone change, it was already Saturday when we landed in London (7 a.m.) and then later in Basel (11 a.m.). (Namitha, Massimo, Zsombor)
